Forum moderators: It came to my attention after looking at the
Lincoln Online forums that the ISSF had way too much tech data just stored in the forums; their top-level tech site hadn't been updated since 2002 and only had a handful of items, whereas the lincoln site has 200+ articles, all condensed, with no BS and no stupid questions in the middle.
I made a suggestion over on the ISSF that this would be a good idea. So far I have gotten zero response. Another member suggested a Wiki-like page which I think would be fantastic, but who knows whether anything will come of that. Could we do something over here like that? Honestly, we ought to get rid of tech stickies and just have articles that are written by a member who is knowledgeable and passionate, that way it's all in one spot.
As I have spoken in private with many of you, the ISSF's single biggest problem is the lack of leadership vision and follow-through. Let's not discuss that now, but learn from it and do better. The leadership here needs to have vision and then act on that vision.
Can we start with tech repositories? Honestly, tech stickies just crowd each section of the forum and usually get ignored. Let's put them in a different section, can we?
