PostSubject: OZ Nova finally on.   Mon May 12, 2014 2:40 pm

Finally got the OZ Novas on a car.  I've only owned them 4 years.  These are the 18x10" and 18x8" that for some reason have a different centre cap than the ones everyone else has.

The 285/40ZR18 tires on the 18" wheels just BARELY fit in the back.  I had to put them on the caprice which still has the stock OTA pipes because the tires rubbed on the car with the 2.5" mandrel bent exhaust.  I ended up having to put in new studs.  The longer wheel studs are Dorman 610-323.  GMPP Rocketparts 22551491 and ARP 100-7708 also work.

Looks ok.  I can't put the centrecaps on in the front as the hub dustcap protrudes fro the hole.  I could use a 1/2" spacer but the wheels are already pretty much as far out as I want them to go.  Any more and they will protrude from the fender.  Front tires are 245mm wide.

I'll be picking up my other set at Jarrod`s place on my way back from my next trip out East.  They are the standard 18x8" so I'm thinking of going with a 255/55R18 "wide oval" firestone tire.  That should fit out back with the modded exhaust.

No, Jarrod took delivery of them for me. The seller offered free shipping ONLY to NY state. No other state.

Yes, the rear wheel well is filled. Can't even get a finger between the tire and the skirt`s lip. I might roll it.

They are the same model, but not specifically Mike's rims.

Since the chrome on my 25 year old BBS wheels is flaking off in quarter size pieces,I am going to have them powdercoated by a local guy.

How much longer are they? I have a set of TSW rims that need longer studs (also have had them for about 4 years now, lol)
GOing to but them on my green machine (don't want to do studs on more than one car....

Sorry, never saw this post till now. They're 1/2" longer.

I just picked up the other OZ Wheels from Jarrod. Big thanks for keeping them for me for so long.

I can't put them on just yet as they'll need tires and I had absolutely no room to put tires in the Riviera during my trip home. I'm looking into doing a centrecap mod like Mike did. I was never a huge fan of the big honking centrecap that came stock with the wheels.
