low miles, and very clean all original needs a little work & wheels

HEY SWEET! My favorite color on these and the interior looks to be in nice shape! Those are all burned up inside down here now.

CAN you fix that b-piller? That's pretty scary. Was this an insurance buy-back?

SAVE IT!! SAVE IT!!

Definitely fixable, had almost the same damage in my '96 Cappy wagon and it was fixed quite well.

Congrats Pat!!

well for updates, the person who has this impala wouldn't settle on a price, it's now been sitting in his yard on gravel open to the elements for the past two years now. I've given up trying to buy it from him, but he did ask me to save it  for him and fix it up. So I've started to give him a few hours a week working on it. He got me a parts car, a 95 caprice with the L99 in it, so I've taken the doors and cut out the B pillar and worked on his 96SS, here are some of the progress I've made with it.

first off leaving it open like this has taken a toll on it, rain and snow on the leather, and floor....

this impala took one hell of a hit, that bent pillar also pushed up on the roof making it a full two inches higher than it should and it also pulled up on the rocker panel some, having been hit high above the belt line just about at the door handle left the frame straight and intact.

using a port-a-power I slowly pushed the damaged B pillar back into it's original position slowly pulling the roof back down and pushing the rocker panel back into place

I then cut out the bent B pillar from the SS and put in the pillar from the donner caprice lining it up and holding it in place with some screws to make sure the doors fit and that everything lines up before welding it into place

that's where I left it last week, I'm going to have to cut floor sections out of that donner caprice to fix the rust cause by sitting exposed to the elements, it's a shame.

Great looking save,Pat. Most would have left it for dead, and picked it's bones clean.

Great work Pat!  Find one that is not crushed like a soda can and left exposed to the elements.

I still wish it could have come home with you, but glad it's being saved, regardless. Nice Work!
