Here's my wagon that I will be driving again soon. The passenger side is it's "good side" for now. The lower rear driver's side quarter panel is pretty badly wrinkled up. I have replaced the driver's door with a silver door. The clear-coat is peeling on the hood.I shouldn't have to worry much about the running gear for a while , so I can concentrate on the cosmetics. The engine is a reman from Napa with about 10k on it and the trans is a GM reman with about 1200 miles on it. A two-tone paint job might be in it's future. Possibly some silver/gray on the lower parts, either from the side moldings down or from the factory stripes down? I like the dark blue,or black sapphire, as GM called it. I will leave it and not have to paint the door jambs. The cloth interior is blue. I kinda like the wire wheel covers , but will probably eventually replace them. I don't know what I would replace them with.Impala wheels are nice, but I'd like something different.
I actually thought seriously about junking the car and using the eng and trans in another project. I'm glad I didn't. Very Happy Very Happy Very Happy

I spent a couple of hours today cleaning things under the hood. It looks much better but I will probably invest another hour there. Next I will do a major interior cleaning. I plan to remove the front seats and clean and possibly redye the carpet.

I had forgotten how much work was involved in scrubbing door edges and door jambs. Oh my aching back.

I'm all for two-tone paint jobs. It gives these cars a different look.
