| Still searching for a nice wagon for my son. We have looked at about 9 cars and people are asking a lot of money for junk! Finally I think I have found a really nice roadmaster wagon. It is a 1993 with 94K very clean no rust like new interior fully loaded (as most roadies are). The guy wants $6995 for the car. The wife is having a cow over the fact that it is a 21 year old car for almost 7K. What do you guys think? would this be a good price for this car? Or should I keep looking? (I will deal with wife) | |

| Price is high. However... nice ones are getting harder to find every day. | |

Run away from that car, your wife is right. There is no way the car is worth even half of that. That car is worth $2500, no more.

| Without seeing it in person hard to tell, but thats probably a pass. Seems like mint even lower mile LT1 cars demand that kind of money. A tbi car fat chance. | |

| That price is pretty high for a TBI car.
Southwest Airlines has fares now for $99, and gas prices are lower than they have been in years. Find a rust-free southern LT1 car. My 2-cents.

| Way too high. If it had 25k or under miles and showroom condition, then maybe. | |

| The obvious question-have you been checking ebay? I look all the time for fun, and while there are always goofballs wanting crazy money for their wagons, I usually see some driver quality wagons for normal money. Just be patient, one will pop up. | |

| 7k??? Wow! I bought my 1992 OCC for 2k in nice shape, with new tires and all. Needs a little rust repair, but nothing terrible. Had 92k miles at the time of purchase. | |

| FWIW it took me almost a year to find a good wagon @ a good price and I had to drive down to Virginia to get it. I picked up a 100% rust free car with under 150k for under 3K. it is by no means a perfect car though. but 100% rust free is what I wanted and was willing to wait for or pay for.
you can have good, you can have cheap, and you can have now, pick 2.
I have seen what I feel to be junk go for $2,500 or more here in Michigan though.

I have seen what I feel to be junk go for $2,500 or more here in Michigan though. And to add to that. Have the $$ ready and don't wait when one does pop up. I've bought 13 wagons since 2007, most I paid was $1750 upfront but they 'cost' more.... The 1750 car I had to fly and drive so that one was more like 2750 as I took my son (2x airfare), hotels, gas, etc. I bought a RMW for 1000 with 135K but dumped another 950 into it to make it right. Drove it 95K and now Cory has it. Looks like crap but still runs awesome. I could go on, but you get the idea. For what I've spent on repairs, etc., If I'd waited a bit more and spent 3k on a nice one, I'd be ahead of the game......although it's hard to pass up a 500-900 buck wagon, lol.

I have seen what I feel to be junk go for $2,500 or more here in Michigan though. My son and I went to go look at a wagon that was so rusted the front and rear wheel well housings where totally see thru! They where asking $4900! The car would not even start so I could pull it out and take a better look at it. That is the big issue with trying to buy one of these in the Midwest!  We finally found one that is from the south and will be seeing it here on the 14th! Then my son will be moving to New Mexico with his sister so the car will stay in a salt free environment  !

| Yea 4,000 is to much. For that. I paid 500 bucks for my roadmaster, and considering that I could sell it for 3 times that amount, if someone laughs I'll just turn into Hong Kong fuel and throat punch them! J/k lol hopefully everyone realizes that people of all economic situationso can enjoy wf and if shallow enough to laugh or poke fun, or turn a nose up at someonespecial wagon...well I wouldn't want to be part of a group like that anyway, but have not come across anyone like that yet on here. | |

| That seems a little high. If you keep looking you might find one for a better price. I was looking at a 115k LDM '94 roady. The owner wanted 3500, so i kept looking and finally found a decent '93 with 177k miles. Same color too. for only 1800. But I understand those wagons are really rare there. That was off topic, but that what happened to me. Have you found any more recently/ | |
