Does anybody know where the wires run through the steering column?

I want to add a tach to the column and drill a small hole just above the lever to tilt the column.  I don't see any wires but I obviously don't want nick any and have to pull the column to fix it.

Thanks!
Ian

The wires all run in a sleeve along the bottom. There's still a lot of tight fitting parts, and pieces in there that all net to move at least a little bit, I'd find another way to mount it. Would double sided molding tape work for ya?
