Hey great forum, I am a new guy from N. Suburbs of Detroit MI and just got me a 93 Caprice Classic Wagon. 104K, White / woodie, 350TBI. Got this as economical tow vehicle option for a med. size RV.

I am ISO of L.S. diff. for this (currently has 3:23 which is fine). I am near Flint for those others in MI. I can't see any photos of peoples rides on here in threads-but hope to post some of mine soon. I am wondering about the Powertrax units and if anyone has had any luck with them in winter?

Anyway, looking forward to getting this (former) old man's ride looking a little more stylish (on the cheap). AC needs recharge and IAC is probably bad but other than rust out under the spare tire compartment-it is fairly clean. Got a pretty good deal on I think.

Looking forward to any help you all may provide and to contribute as I am able.

Cheers!!
Melon

Welcome to the Forum. We have several guys in your neck of the woods

92 wagon a/c are the old refrigerant based systems R12. You'll need to convert to R134.

Probably common issue but searched around a little not exactly sure where to find this nugget but having problem with rear hatch / glass locking when tailgate locks on my '93 with swing out and drop down rear gate. Tailgate door locks with electric and I can also turn key manually to engage lock at rear (turn right) but then tumbler does not release key. So, is this common? Maybe just in need of graphite in lock... anyone??!

Andebe-any hint as to what title of thread(s) and under what area concerning lift glass lock issue might be?

I had that happen to me once, the key got stuck in the lock on the tailgate. Got it out and never used the rear lock again, problem solved LOL. Just unlock it from the inside and everything is fine.

Welcome aboard. If you see a blue 65 Biscayne wagon in Flint rocking a 4Speed, look for the Jolly owner Bewber. He's one of us. He also has a black mid 90s Fleetwood that shares our driveline/suspension parts
