PostSubject: Chinese-made rear brake hose   Fri 31 Jul 2015 - 22:18

Long ago I got a bunch of Raybestos brake parts, including the rear hose. Said hose is made in China and that didn't necessarily sit well with me. So, I ordered a slightly more expensive AC Delco hose, and lo and behold, it is the exact same thing- same included notes, same manufacturer, same everything just in a different box. So, beware, or at least buy the cheaper of the two. Smile

We can only hope they are sick of opening boxes/products that say made in USA,but I seriously doubt it. Neutral

The last few AC Delco "advantage" parts I bought were Chinese, but the "professional" stuff still seems to be either US or Mexico.

This was/is a Delco Professional Durastop, so maybe that old stock has run dry.

I always get the G-Stop hose kit for the front and rear....I don't know where they are made, but they have always worked great for me.

Personally, I always try to avoid replacing the rubber brake hoses with rubber when possible.

I buy Centric brake parts, they are made in USA and high quality. You can look up the part numbers on rockauto.
