I don't mind sharing.
My transmission was a swap out. When the trans first started going, a mechanic shop said their specialist would charge $1000 for a stock rebuild. This seems to be the stock ballpark. I opted for an upgraded unit since I was (is) resilient to scrap my car and at some point put in a bigger engine (much to the dismay of my brother and parents).
I used CK Performance who are based in Long Island, NY. The new unit was updated for 500 HP / 500 TQ and I didn't have to worry about shipping since it was close. I can't recall the exact numbers, but somewhere around $2,400, including removal and installation. So figure the transmission was no more than $2,000 and that was back in September 2013.
Bowtie Overdrives was my runner-up since they had a pretty good reputation.
I'd have to check the service manual for what parts are exactly in it. On the ckperformance website, it lists what goes into his transmissions. I believe so does the Bowtie site.
