PostSubject: Goldie the '92 Custom Cruiser   Sun Feb 07, 2016 8:07 pm

Meet Goldie, a '92 Olds Custom Cruiser. She was a very very dirty girl when I found her but I know many of us feel the dirtier they are the better! We just love 'em filthy don't we?
As you can see she did not escape a few scrapes in her life. Her return to polite society has started as a new fender and bumper cover have been procured. The trim pieces along the right side have been obtained also. Still trying to decide on the door though. Repair? If I find a straight one maybe I will just replace it.
Of interest she is a Florida car wearing the dealer's badge from Winterhaven. She is rust free, or as close as possible. The brake booster as well as anything else not deemed worthy of prevention show gold and that is it. With only 98,000 miles she could wind up being a real gold-plater.  Hail Goldie!

This could have been done after, but the tailgate handle instead of black, is black and gold. Anyone know if there were special models of  OCC's? In Calif. there were "Rose Bowl" edition models.

When you pull the cladding off is it gold or grey on the back? It was a color impregnated so if factory should be gold.

The only ones that came with gold cladding are the 91s with gold bodies. There is a gold one in Europe with a damaged rear quarter cladding, and he would like the part if it comes available.

There is an OCC with a good passenger's side door in the Big 3 yard in Clearwater. It is blue, but not dented.

Oh well, Goldie was black deep down after all. Seems she was trying to pass but I love her anyway. Thanks for the tip on the door Fred, but I know where there is a white one I think!

I thought white 92's came with gold cladding?

This one's a 91, it has the Roadie sail panel treatment.
