95 lt1 running rough Empty
PostSubject: 95 lt1 running rough   95 lt1 running rough Icon_minitimeFri Jul 01, 2016 5:10 pm

New guy here.New to roadmasters but a long time old car guy.
My new to me roady is running rough, intermitant skip. No cel.
Everything is greasy, oily on the engine.
Looks like seal behind the opti is shot, rear intake seal also. Think I'm going to pull and clean the opti, fix the leak behind it.plug wires, plugs. Thinking about doing the intake while I am in there.
What else should I be looking for ? What parts would it be wise to change while I am in this deep ? Great forum. Thanks for the help.

Ed

Welcome aboard Ed

Probably a good thing to do is clean the engine bay first, so you can get a good look at things. Plugs and wires seems like a good place to start. You may want to check the back bolts of the valve covers before you tackle the intake. They are known to loosen and cause the valve cover to leak, the intake very very seldom leaks.
