Dad and I took the Roadmaster Wagon and the '82 Z28 to the Pistons on the Square meet in Georgetown Saturday morning.  This is kind of a unique meet, happens once a month, and it's an EARLY meet....folks get there around 7:30am and are leaving by 10am.  The huge Del Webb Sun City Texas retirement community is just outside of Georgetown, and many of these folks live there.

It's kinda nice because these folks have cars that are not often at the normal HUGE Austin Area Cars and Coffee meets.   They also are REALLY friendly, and love to talk and tell car stories.   It's a smaller, quieter, more laid-back meet, and the location on the town square in downtown Georgetown is both pretty and neat with lots of little coffee shops for breakfast with outdoor covered porch patios to sit and visit watch the cars come and go.   The earlybird really does get the worm with this show!

Great weather, nice folks and REALLY nice cars (and most folks like the wagon more than the Camaro here, ha!). Enjoy the Pics!

Early morning Saturday, chasing Dad, me in the Roady and him in the brown Z28, passing the Round Rock sign on I-35

Arriving at Georgetown...my eyes are not fully open yet..chasing Dad!

The full Album of pics is here if you want to see more pics.   https://www.facebook.com/mike.massey.543/media_set?set=a.10209549421723090.1073742120.1553678810&type=3&pnref=story

Fun Morning!  Hope ya'll had a great weekend!

Beautiful old store fronts. The cars really compliment the look.

Nice selection of cars there, Mike. My favorite, hands down, the 1956 grey Lincoln.

That Lincoln was a neat car. Interior pics in the Album I made. The neatest thing was it had a loud starter, RURRURURUR, but as soon as it started, it idles silently...I mean it was QUIET. When it pulled out it was spookly....it just kind of floated away...... cheers

The guy with the red Monte Carlo was really nice. 46K mile car, from Dallas. CLEAN. Also the pair of new and old T-Birds was cool. The newer one only had 8000 miles on it. Also, the guy with the 65 Chevy C10 that parked next to our Camaro was fun to talk with. That truck had belonged to his father, and now it's his. Tons of good stories.

Oh and the VW Bug ragtop and Van are owned by the couple that run Central Texas Metal Polishing, that did all the trim polishing on my wagon parts before I put them back on. They made a big deal over the wagon, seeing all the parts they'd worked on installed!

I love the car meets!

I loved the interior in both those cars, especially the dashboards.
