| Hello all, does anyone know where to get a replacement fan belt tensioner for an LT1 Tow Package car? GM part #10186118
No luck on line, GM says the part is discontinued...Amazon, RockAuto...No dice.
I don't want to remove the Tow Pack to convert to duel electric fans if I can avoid it.
Thanks in advance for any and all assistance.

| I can try my Delco supplier on Monday. LMK if you have a Delco PN... if it exists, they'll have a number for it. |

| Thank you very much Jason. The above PN is also listed as the AC Delco PN. I found a couple US sites that say they have them but when I went to order...their system said out of stock. Ie: www.gmpartsheadquarters.com |

| Ok, my local supplier is Hosie and Brown. If it's available in North America, they'll get it. I get trade price, do you want me just to order it? |

| Just off the phone. No luck. They checked with four suppliers, nothing. Delco, Gates, etc, no one has it.
Go with good used or rebuild one. |

| Thank you very much for trying. Seems like another one of those B body parts that has gone the way of the DoDo. Can't rebuild this particular unit as its MIA...the shop that was servicing the car took it off and tossed it not realizing they could not get a replacement. If anyone has a good used one pls let me know...I have tossed several myself over the years...of course now I want to keep a Tow Pack and can't find one. |

Does that mean that you have 1 3/4 or 2 1/8 of them? |

| Anyone have a possible replacement part for the bearing, a substitute pully that would bolt on? Mine is screaming and wants to be replaced. I eventually want to go replace the mechanical fan, but that is in the budget later.

| The bearing number should be on the bearing. Check with your local parts store for that number. They usually press out and in. |

| This is kind of scary that such a crucial part is virtually unobtainable. Anybody know if there is any preventative maintenance that can be done on these to try to make them last longer? Like lubing the bearings. |

| Bearings are sealed, and can be replaced. The spring is what breaks. If anyone can figure out what other tensioner has the same spring, it might be able to replace the spring.
I just picked a good one. I would like $65 shipped for it (CONUS). |
