My cruise will stay set for a few seconds and then shut off. Any ideas as to where to start looking? Any help would be appreciated. Thanks!

Maybe the brick is slipping off the peddle?

And, before someone says it: on wagons, the CHMSL does NOT have to function in order for the cruise to engage.
Just follow the trouble tree in the FSM. It will get you to the problem in a few steps.

Thx guys. Working at a GM dealership has its perks. Talked to one of the best techs around and he gave me some pointers. Should have it fixed shortly.

Had the same problem with my car.
Turned out to be a weak CC module under the hood.
Replaced it with a Junkyard unit and it has worked well since.
