| MY dipstick tube disolved... completely shot. I bent it a bit when installing the BBK headers, and on my last oil change... this sleeve part completely dissolved. There's not really any rust on this car, so I am a little surprised?
I search around a few places for a new one, no one is able to provide an LT1 one? I tried a few universals with no luck. Searched a few parts yards, still no luck. I figured this was a widely used engine, left scratching my head on this one. Searched to forums to find a few old rock auto links that were no longer working, and the only thing I could find on there was some kind of plastic adapter.
Anyone come across this problem? What are my options?
Thank you! | |

| Did you check for Camaro/Firebird, 93-95? Same LT1. Also Caprice/Impala of course from 94-96. Can't be hard to find. Go to Car-Part.com, the used auto parts search website, and search away! | |

| No yard is going to do a listing for a dipstick. They hate selling small stuff. Time is money. The time to go find the car/engine, take the bolt out, pull the tube, catalog it, price it, pack it... they have lost money. If you want one from a yard, just search for a complete engine, then call the yard to ask for the tube. | |

| I did not see this thread, and I was at a yard that has an LT1 in a FW. I could have picked the tube if I knew. I won't be headed back there for a week or so, unless they get some fresh meat. | |

| That is about the same price as a junk yard part. Shipping is free too. If you tell them you are from the ISSF or Longroof forum, you may even get a better price. | |

| Yep, it would cost more just to ship it from Canada. | |

| Tell them Longroof, I don't think they think very highly of issf these days, lol. | |
