So life get's all complicated and throws me a curveball... Was hoping to make it down to WF again this year, but not in the cards either.

Splinters has to go, and ideally she can land in the hands of a fellow wagon lover...

Metric or SAE era?

I thought it was three letters long, but depended upon the font size for actual length.

Sharp looking wagon, sorry to see you sell. Hopefully it goes to the right home.

I want but don't totally need to sell it. In this economy it won't be an easy sell, but as it is I could stash the car away and continue to enjoy it more as a cruiser and less as a daily.

I've had a bunch of different cars, but few have given me the satisfaction of this car...

If it'll end the era any sooner, longroofers price $3500...

In all sincerity.. .

...and back on topic, does anyone have an idea of what the registration process would be like to bring a vehicle in from Canada to the USA?

http://www.canadatotwincities.com/buy_car.html

Pretty straight forward with "domestic" vehicles, japanese and euro stuff is tricky.

Temp permit up here is $10 for ten days with proof of insurance.

I have the ways and means to deliver the car in the northeast for fuel + lunch and or dinner...

The era ended today. Kids cried hearts were broken. I really think what anointed this car is all supreme awesomness was going to wagonfest with it. The cars and most importantly the people that drive them made our family feel welcome and this became the experience that was Splinters.

I made a lateral move for reasons which if any cares to discuss I'd love to.

Depending on how you look at this lateral move it could be a move left or right. I'm joining the 4 kids club and Splinters would get destroyed in winter and it isn't set up for the childseat config that we need. As fun as it was to say I owned the only Diesel Roadmaster wagon for the winter, that was pretty much it's biggest highlight, that and meeting Bill.

However I didn't go van, I went Benz and got a 1999 e 320 4matic wagon. Got it from the original owner, a Canadian diplomat who purchased the car in germany and picked it up at the factory. It's a $3000 beater benz, that is safe and comfy, good for all seasons and I will start saving my pennies for a more vintage longroof, dream car is a 60's chevelle wagon with a 12v cummins.... I have the cummins, all i need is the car...
