PostSubject: '95 Caprice wagon, Now with pics.   Sat Mar 10, 2012 10:15 pm

I'm thinking about buying a black, no wood '95 Caprice wagon from a friend. I don't need much off the car, and it's a 77,000 mile NY car, rotted frame and under side, front fenders are a mess, hood has a 4" crease/dent, tail gate is an unknown, it won't open (looks nice on outside), and the quarters are gone. Runs good, and has a really really nice red cloth interior, and the doors are fair (minor dents). Anyone need/want parts off this. I can't really justify buying the whole car without getting at least some of the money back. I was hoping to make it a winter beater next year, but it's destined to be a parts car. LMK

I'd like the steering wheel and airbag assembly or whatever. My wheel is bare. Look and see if the wheel is all worn off.........

Didn't have a camera. Embarassed No pics.

Forgot to mention, there is a grey Buick column and wheel in place of the original red one.
Had a no start issue, po took it to Monroe Muffler, those goons diagnosed it with a bad ign switch. They tore it apart, and couldn't figure out how to put it back together again. Mad Neutral . Thus the Buick column. The parts are still around though, but didn't see the wheel.

I have a friend who would like the driver's door panel, if the top is vinyl (maybe even if it is not vinyl). How much?

I'm still on the fence on buying the car, but door panels have to be $70.00-$80.00 plus shipping though I'd think, as long as they really nice.

The black '95 Caprice with red cloth is coming on good Friday. I will be parting this out.... Slowly, may still have it for WFNY. Pics will be coming next week. Then I'll have a better idea of what's good, what's bad, and what kind of options it has. I'll then get back to a couple of you that have asked question I couldn't answer.

The interior is very nice, the only nice part of the car in fact. No red steering wheel, door panels are cloth on top. A/C lines are questionable, I need to get a better look this week.

I'm assuming the inner fenders are mostly rust and holes at this point?

What inner fenders? I can't see'um. There is no metal on the out side of the car that's any good.

Tail lights are broken.

This car is mostly good for interior parts unfortunately.

How do the 3rd seat grab handles look? Mine have a couple of deep gouges in them...

Also, what about the rear wiper motor cover and matching plastic phillips head clips? (that big rear piece the holds the headliner up the the very back)

Chris

Ps, got those 9C1 springs in! THANK YOU!!

There is a deal in the works for the whole car, as long as we can work out the logistics, it will go through, sorry guys.

Acme,
The antenna is not working, won't go all the way down, or go all the way up, bottom section is kinked.

I'll post on this thread weather or not the car will be parted out this weekend.

It doesn't look like the car is going to Canada as planned. I bought this car from a friend with an under standing, but I might have gotten the understanding wrong. I'm still trying to work out the details with myself and the po, that's why I haven't posted on here about the final decision about the car. Hopefully I will be parting out the car as I originally posted, but it may be going back to my friend. I let you all know, when I know.

As for the rear wheel well trim, both sides are hosed, the first 5-6" in front of the wheels are disintegrated.

Ok.... It's all settled, It's my car, it's not sold to anyone, and it's not going to Canada. I'm parting out the car, and again the body is SHOT, the interior is nice.

I'll pm those of you that were interested in parts previously.
