"no-rush" on the paint code, I bought some gloss white rustolium! close enough match for now.

They were all pitted, so I was going to get them powdercoated. But... I forgot where I put them. So it looks like I'll be ordering new ones.

It has no crossbar in it now. Is the 91-3 one the chrome one?

I'm not going to use a crossbar anyways. I hate the way they look on the car and I will NEVER put anything on the roof!

The 91-93 RMW is chrome, the Custom Cruiser one is black. Check the new yarding thread, perfect pic in there. They don't look like a roof rack, they fit the back of the window perfectly, and don't stick up. Even if you don't use it, I think they look better with one on the roof.

I swung by to check out the colors in the sunlight now that the sun FINALLY came out after like 3 weeks of overcast.

Paint was getting thin, there were some dings, and a couple surface rust bubbles starting. It needed some attention.

Just about ready for paint. Today's snow storm may bring in some collision work for him though, and my car is there as a "when he has time" job... So who knows when it will actually make it into the booth? I'm in no hurry, but I'd like it back by the beginning of April. It was all primed and sanded and he was taping and masking it all off when I stopped by after work today. Looks really nice. He did a great job on those dents on the front fender. And the "few" dings and spots I mentioned turned out to be TWENTY FOUR spots that he saw that needed attention. And I'm PICKY! She's about as straight as she can get right now. He was impressed with the car. Told me that this may have been the nicest shape 18 year old car, body wise, that he's ever worked on.

They're gonna wipe her down, spray some white sealer on her, and maybe shoot the roof tonight! Woot!

Looks good but I wish they would've pulled the stainless trim and tail lights. Would've given a better job and probably took longer to mask off than to just remove them. Somebody did my car the way yours is being done and now the paint is peeling around every piece if trim.

I told them to leave the trim. If a clip broke, I couldn't replace it. This guy does killer work, so I like my chances.

Tail lights are coming off for paint.

Job actually woulda been a bit cheaper if they just removed em. A lot less time & materials than masking them off!

I didn't realize they were so hard to come by. I have a bunch laying around and will collect them in my future yard travels.

I started collecting them a while ago. The small ones for the rear quarters are the tough one's.

He got some paint on it Friday, but last week's storm brought him some collision work, so it's on the back burner for right now...

It's "smokey caramel".... Lots of pearl and metallic in it. Very nice color. You'll like it, trust me.

Now she'll be the "Toasted Marshmallow"

He sprayed the roof first so he could lift the car up to get the rest of it all at once.

Interesting black paint around the rear window. Will hide well under the tint! Neat idea.

Looks good and there's nothing wrong with brown. Can't wait to see it done.

Here's a couple pics from yesterday. It's not done yet, but I hope to pick it up Thursday... I'm totally stoked. It looks friggin awesome! This has been my vision for this car since I first took ownership of it 4 years ago from my wife. Love it!





There's a charcoal metallic stripe separating the colors the same color as the centers of the wheels...

And the money shot!

I'll get more pics when it's together and have it home on a sunny day so you can really see how that color dances in the sun! It's a maroon/chocolate color and then when the sun hits it, it's like a molten sunset gold/bronze. It's awesome. The paint really grabs the ruby red interior, too!

The body was straightened and the whole car was sprayed. I still have a few more exterior touches to do before the final pics. But these should tide you over for now...
