Jay had been hanging onto some parts for me for a while, so we decided to meet up in North Conway NH today and have a little parts-swap. I got the better end of the deal, I think. I had about a 275 mile round trip, and he was looking at 400 miles each way! Shocked

I went the long way, so I could drive along the historic Kangamangus Highway, snaking through the White Mountains. I figured I had plenty of time and would enjoy the ride. It was EPIC! I had the twisty turny mountain road pretty much all to myself and could stretch the marshmallows legs a bit. And I did. And man, the sounds echoing across the valleys... Beautiful music! And I didn't even turn the radio on. Wink An absolutely gorgeous day and I am still grinning like an idiot!

Here are some pics I snapped along the way...

And of course... He had to bring the damn BLUE car! Razz

Thanks Jay, I aprreciate it. I needed that stuff!

All in all, not a bad day... Wink

Yeah, it was 70* and still snow on the slopes!

I also realized there were no pics driving on the actual kangamangus... I guess I was too busy having fun. Wink The driving shots are all on rte 93 heading north. The kangamangus is a thin, twisty, 1 lane each way...

Wow, I am tired! A great day, though. Route 302 through the White Mountains forest is my favourite drive of all time. If someone closed that road at both ends, and told me I could just drive back and forth in a selection of vintage muscle and sports cars, I would be a happy boy.

It was really good to see Bill, but too short a visit. The toastie marshmallow looks ridiculous. Pictures do not do that paint justice. It's nothing like DCM. More like root beer with a bit of Cherry Coke, swirled with gold flake. It's sublime.

Bill's camera makes my winter beater look better than I remember it...

Glad you made it home ok,Jay! Next time we'll have to hang out longer than just lunch! Thanks again! Smile

Funny, my stupid phone camera makes your car look awesome, yet it can't capture what my paint really looks like! Lol Very Happy
