| So I was in a yard today looking for some seats for my Vue. No luck on the seats, but he had a wagon sitting in the staging lot. This wagon was AMAZINGLY clean. A broken headlight and a toasted passenger side fender. I asked about the near perfect door panel, stainless trim and the headlight wiring harness, but he wanted to much money. Now I start thinking..... carpet, gas tank straps, wagon rear, the list goes on. | |

| Well the yard wanted TOO much for a few parts, they would want BIG $$ for the car. | |

| I think it depends if they report the car to the state (and probably varies by state) as destroyed. When I was in TX, the yard had a lot full or cars for sale.
I know in FL now, if they issue a certificate of destruction when the Ins Co. totals it out, it can never be registered again. Tons of CL ads around me with such cars 'for export only or track use'. | |
