N E Ways, I have no idea what this is for. If it is powered should it be unprotected like this?

It does not look like a GM connector. Where do the wires lead?

I have not gotten into that yet. I was hoping to do it the easy way and ask the forum.

I will try another pic to see if the image can be made clearer. The phone is not good for macro and I am not young enough to do pretzel routines with my digital.
