What plans, if any, do you have for your wagon once you pass on?
I ask because a friend recently took possession of an OCC that once belonged to a prominent member of the B Body community. When he passed his family apparently dumped his cars on anyone that would give them some money and this one ended up with an uncaring owner that let it sit outside for years. My friend bought it with the intent of rehabbing it but quickly realized it was not what he wanted so he called me about buying it. When to look at it but to me is too far gone. Every pillar has rot, the quarters are trash and the interior fills with water because the entire left side of the roof is rotted through along the roof rack and much more. Sad end to a car that once had so much love and attention put into it.
Anyways, when the inevitable happens do you have arrangements for your wagon or do you not really care? Told my wife she can do whatever she wants with my possessions but she said that she will keep my wagon and drive it occasionally.

Honestly, unless I meet an untimely demise, I think it very likely that I'll easily outlive my wagon. Yes, it pains me somewhat to say that.
Okay, so let's say I didn't. One of my "bothers" who did not at first understand why anyone would ever want a station wagon has changed his mind in a big way. I'd be fine if he ended up with it, and in truth, I'd probably leave it to him anyway.
Were the circumstances such that I could still "keep tabs" on it, I'd haunt him mercilessly if I found he wasn't taking decent care of it!

probably my sister's oldest son, as though my buick would be the oldest vehicle he would have he knows how I feel about my vehicles so would keep it himself or make sure it went to someone who would take care of it

My wife knows who to ask if I die...my wishes are to give it to someone who will enjoy it and do with it as they wish.
In the end, they all end up in the junkyard at some point no matter what we do.

My old lady hates my car. Pretty sure I’ll be buried in it

When Bob Hope was asked where he'd like to be buried, he replied: "Surprise me". I feel the same about my cars.

When I was in college in the late 80s, Bob Hope came to our school to do a show (for the public). He was already pretty far gone mentally I guess. I was working the show and sent to get him to bring him backstage for his big entrance. The green room was actually outside the theater so you had to walk outside and around the corner to the backstage door.
I go in and tell him it's time to go on and he pops up and strolls out the door, walks across the sidewalk and right into the middle of a hedge that is about thigh high (it was dark out but lit). He stops looks all around like he stepped in a deep puddle and blurts out, "Man, I'm bushed!" The facial expression and delivery were on point and I laughed, steadied him as he waded back out, brushed some leaves off his Tux and escorted him to his mark just off stage.
My private joke with Bob, It was great, I don't get tired of sharing that one.

my last wagon i drove till it was too far gone to restore. current one I am slowly making shiny again. I would like to think i won't part with it but life has a way of throwing stuff at you and you just never know. If I kick it while still in possession, I hope it finds a new worthy home as none of my family or friends think much of these cars.
