PostSubject: Cruiser Parts   Cruiser Parts Icon_minitimeTue Jan 19, 2010 7:17 pm

Anyone need anything from a 1992 Custom Cruiser? It is White with Blue Leather. The interior is damn near perfect except the usual jackhole came along and tore up the door handle inserts. Someone thought they would be slick and lock all the doors but I broke into it by breaking a door handle. The body is in good shape save for a dent and poor repair in the passenger wuarter rear door. It has a vista shade but one of the clips on it is broken. No Cargo shade and I took the door weatherstriping.

The grille has been torn off and the hood ornament is on it but one corner is broken. All cladding is still on the car and most of it is in perfect condition. Pass front door one is busted and the rear door wuarter one is there but cracked. Driver side ones are all there and looked great. Both bumper covers are cracked up and the rear is beyond saving. Headliner is ALMOST flawless and the lower portion of the rear seat is gone.

For those interested the wagon has a 350 and was built in March of 1992. It was in service for 251,xxx miles.

When I got into the car I was sad about just how easy it is to break into one of these cars. All you need is a screwdriver Sad

EDIT: Upon reading this it would seem that I broke into a random car but the wagon is at Pull A Part in Louisville Kentucky.

grab everything that is olds specific, you'll be able to sell it.
tail lights, front bumper, cladding, etc etc.

myself, I need the custom cruiser script for one side but toying with the idea of using the boxy script pair that I do have....

specially the 92 as only 4K were made....

Interested in the third brake light assembly, handle the whole bit. Rear glass hinges. And if alloy wheels, the center caps. Smile

I would be interested in the HVAC unit if it is not too expensive. DS tail light, the medalion on the grille (if the grille is broken).

The hinge pins can be pressed/drifted out (use a drift from the end that is recessed), and you can use just the window part rather than remove the whole hinge, and do them one at a time. If the cntr brake light/striker assembly is not available, I have a complete one in blue.

It has a complete third brake light in perfect condition. The wheels are gone but a couple of center caps are inside of it. Hinges are on it but kinda beat up from people prying on them in an attempt to get in the car.

HVAC controls are complete, can grab them as well.

Gonna go ahead and grab the cladding from it and tails. The grille has been forcibly removed already Sad

As for prices on the items. Most everything there is pretty cheap.

http://www.pullapart.com/pricing/Main.aspx?letter=&loc=8&#pricelist

If the link doesn't go right to it select Louisville from the pulldown list to see what the parts cost me. I'll sell the parts for a couple bucks over what I pay.

I had the AC controls out and when I was removing the cable I broke the clip off, sorry Sad

I grabbed the tails for you Chris (since you wanted both)

Here is a pic of them and the Wiper Motor. The lens are a little foggy in places but should polish right up. There are NO breaks or chips anywhere. They look damn good to me. The one has some slight scratches as seen in the pic but not deep.

Cruiser Parts 1002335

Here is the Brake light and Hinges for Mike. The hinges have a couple chips in one but are useable and the light has some fading on top from the sun but is not flaky or anything like that.

Cool, thanks.

I was skeptical that the lights were in fact different between makes. That was quickly squashed when I put these lights against my Caprice, lol.

It is not an electric unit, looks just like the one in the LTZ Caprice next to it. Steering column and wheel is long gone. Thought about grabbing the cluster but didn't, I don't have much money for unneeded parts sadly.

The lights are different between makes. the Caprice lower apron is 1/2 inch shorter than the OCC, and the RMW is 1/2 inch shorter than the Caprice.

I only have a blue passenger side one. Unless the yards get some new B Bodies in soon I won't be able to find one at the moment.

Amazingly they are getting more scarce in the yards around here.

I'm looking for a set of front door hinges for my caprice wagon. The rollers must be mint as my doors squeek and it drives me nuts!

Prefer white as well, but if they are in terrific shape I will paint them if need be Very Happy

Do you want just the lowers or both lower and upper? I'm going to the yard on Sat and can grab them. There are a few B's I can get them from but I believe these white ones are in great shape.

This particular OCC is reaching the time limit to be on the yard and should be crushed soon. Anyone is needing anything from it let me know.

They will cost me about $7 each, so $10 each would be fine. They are the same hinges.

Fleetwood front doors are the same as their B-body bretheren so the hinges will work. The back doors are different, however, the hinges may be the same, not really sure there.

Yeah, the back doors are longer, so they might have a different hinge (a quick comparison with my wagon will figure that one out when I get home, however, d'oh!).

I can definitely pull those fronts for you though sometime next week (I've got a busy week ahead, but I promise I'll get to it Smile)!

It is blue on blue, wrecked on the pass front so the hood, grille, bumper, etc is trashed. Windows are busted out on pass side and the interior is nasty. Door panels busted up, steering wheel has fell apart, cargo panels scratched and stained.

The cluster is there, pass tail light is complete but sun faded. Pass door fly away panel is still on it. Few good pieces of cladding. Aside from that, not much.

Is the lens faded or the bezel? If the bezel is the part that is faded, I am interested in the passenger side tail light if it is reasonable. I am going to paint the bezel anyway. If the tailgate window is closed, you can break the lock bezel and remove the lock fairly easily. then open the window with a thin screwdriver. If it has the electronic HVAC, I would be interested in the OFF button if it is not broken, and the electronic fan speed control (two connector version). Are the pointers on the instrument cluster faded? If not, check on the price, and if it is fairly cheap, I may be interested in that too (with the pigtails).

The lens is faded. I'll check the other parts tomorrow and let you know. Small parts like that shouldn't cost me much at all. BIg parts to at times, I bought the C pillar trim from a 91 a couple weeks ago. The big long one with sill panels attached. They charged me $4 for a couple feet of moulding, lol.
