| I am already planning for next winters project.. Is there any pics of a wagon with Impala SS rear wheelwells? I really would like to delete the lower chrome trims, and change the wheel openings to SS-the roadie a little. I have seen a lot of people here with bucket front seats and want to know where to get some seats like that too.. | |

| I have a pair of Recaro buckets in my wagon. The are extremely comfortable, and all I had to do is make an adapter from 1/8 thick angle stock. The seats a lot of people use are from Pontiac Bonnevilles, but those may be difficult to find in Sweden. There are a lot of European car seats that would work well, providing that you can make an adapter for them to the Caprice tracks | |

| Actually we have a lot of SST,s here in sweden. And i am thinking of making the mods on the roadmaster. I love this car! Any tips on where to buy the sheetmetal? Look for a junked out SS, or buy new, is it even avaliable? The SS is a rare bird here in sweden, so i wont find a donor to cut the pieces from.. | |

| I would think a larger hardware store or home improvement store would my first place to look. The usually stock flat or angle d metal peices. Resist the attempt to use aluminum. Use steel as being a stronger material to hold the seats down with.
Secondly, I would look for a small shop metal fabrication shop., perhaps one that makes railings or window awnings would have suitable material.
Hopefully others have more ideas as well.

| people make the sedan open wheel arches by using the rear sedan wheel well molding as a pattern,. trimming the excess inner and outer sheet metal, and then bending and forming a new lip,.

| Thats a great idea! In my mind i had already cut the original rear panel up, making a new inner fender and welded on a sedan piece.. Just cutting, and forming a new one out of the old is genious.. Or maybe it just makes me slow? | |

| Nick is a very humble man, we never knew he was a genious. He will have to be shown more respect now.

| All of the 93-96 Caprices have the same sheetmetal at the rear wheel openings. The only difference found in the SS is the trim that goes around the opening. If you get the trim from a Caprice and paint it body color it would give you a reasonable representation of the SS look. To make it look like the front and rear are from the same car, you could also get the trim from the front of a Caprice and treat it the same way that you did the rear. If you can get real SS trim, that would be the preferred parts. You do need the front and rear to "look the same. Do not throw your old bottom trim away, or destroy it. The rear door and fender pieces only fit the wagons, and are hard to find in good condition. | |

| Me and my brother have had a real battle about this.. He think i shouldn´t do this, cuz the design will loose "weight" in the rear, and it will look ridicolus.. Are there anyone here that have done this? I would love to see some photos.. | |
