Picking up Bewber in the am and heading out for a quick drive there have a look see and possibly drive back with a replacement for the defunct Caballero....

pictures may follow

fingers are crossed that it will be more than a sight seeing tour... and the car meets its CL listing and is as good in person as it is in the

Wipers stopped working last night in snow storm!
Fri 13 Jan 2012 - 10:05 by MarkH
Yeah.... THAT was fun! Luckily I didn't have far to go and get home just fine. I THOUGHT it was because the the bezel was caked with ice. So I used a heat gun to get it all out and noticed some gunk build up... leaves dirt etc. Cleaned it all out with and flipped the switch and the passenger side works fine, but the drivers side gave an anemic wiggle. I looked closer and the shaft appears to be …

Overheating AGAIN!!
Tue 6 Dec 2011 - 9:02 by Sprocket
So I have to commute to work in my personal vehicle again and on my maiden voyage to work, I overheated and had to leave my car in a parking lot. Most of you will recall I recently replaced my T-stat (and sheared a bolt off in the process). That was maybe a month and a few hundred miles ago......

The radiator is holding pressure and the overflow tank, no leaks visible. So either the new …

I had forgotten how BAD these cars ride! Mine is modified, wheels, shocks, airlift bags, boxed control arms and such. THIS THING FLOATS!!! Almost got seasick lol

Push on the D pillar and the car just rock on the sidewalls so much that it pitches violently. …

Bigs and Littles?
Thu 29 Jul 2010 - 0:12 by Flasheroo
Has anyone in the group ever tried running taller tires in the rear and shorter ones in the front?I know the ABS
can be effected by the two different diameters but by how much?Currently running 235/50/17 all the way around.
I want to go to a 255/55/17 or a 235/60/17 on the rear and keep the 235/50 on the fronts. These tires are like new
with less than 5000 miles on them.
I have always liked the …

To fix or not to fix?
Tue 17 Jan 2012 - 17:39 by Lynol
That is the question... As I slowly found out in the weeks after I got ripped off bought this car, my red Caprice is in need of quite a bit of behind the scenes body work. Most of it appears to have been caused by a leak around the rear windows or roofrack or both. Of course, some of the rust is a result of living in Massachusetts it's whole life. The frame and underside of the car look pretty …
