Hello and thanks for having me, heard a lot of great things about this forum. I am a 41 year old father of 2 daughters married for almost 18 years that has always had a fascination with anything with wheels. I share a piece of property with my mom and dad so my dad and I share 1 garage. We have a '55 Chevy Bel Air that is black and silver powered by a 423 hp Year One sbc crate motor. My dad has a mostly original '75 Corvette with 52,000 miles and he also has a '78 Malibu with a GM ZZ502 Crate engine...then we have me with my station wagons. It started with a '83 Caprice wagon I saved that has been my 3 year project that I am still struggling to get together and the one that brought me here, my 1992 Roadmaster wagon that is my DD. I picked it up around 4 months ago in Tuscaloosa, Alabama after finding it on Craigslist. It had 74,100 original miles and pretty nice condition. Clear coat on roof is getting bad and a couple dents on passenger side, worst being on bottom of rear door and dog leg but wagon is very presentable. It is loaded with everything functioning properly and has the 3.23 rear. It rolls on a set of 17" and 18" BG Rodworks "old skool" wheels, polished lip, gunmetal gray 5 spoke. I also have a set of Impala SS wheels and tires I sometimes run on it. It is a burgundy color with red interior. This is probably the cheapest car I have ever had as a "Toy" and enjoy it as much or more than our other toys! That is my story and I can get pretty long winded so I am going to browse around the forum and thanks again for having me.

Welcome to the group tireman, sounds like you and your Dad have some pretty nice toys.Your wagon is not the "cheapest"toy that you've ever had, just the most economical entertainment. You have no idea what being "LONG WINDED" means around here, check out my post count! lol!

Welcome to Longroof.  Cool

As great as the SW forum is, it's hard to beat the collective knowledge here that is specific to the B-bodies.

It's nice to be welcomed by people I am familiar with and meet some new people. I agree Olds, y'all have pointed me in the right direction pointing me here. By the way I think I have found the "flyaway" panel I was looking for but if not I will ask here in a couple weeks if it don't come thru for me. Fred even offered some he came across. So thanks again for the welcomes and thanks to those who encouraged me to join this forum.

And with the wheels I had got for my Caprice project that I can't seem to finish.

This is the worse part of car, seems they side swiped something. The woodgrain keeps the long dent from being too noticeable even though it is a decent size but the one in rear door bottom and dog leg bothers me most but I can live with it.
