Hello from the California Desert

I'm new here and I would like to introduce myself, my name is Gene i'm a retired truck driver
and I live in Yucca Valley, Ca. which is approx. 35 miles N.E. of Palm Springs, Ca. I own a
1951 Chevrolet Steel Woody Wagon, which is currently being dismantled.
I first saw the wagon in a field where it had been sitting on it's frame for forty years,
yes since 1970, needless to say Mother Nature had a head start at raining her wrath and decay
upon it, i'll post some pics as soon as I figure out how.
We'll that's about it for me, oh yeah if there are any fellow GM 1949-54 steel woody
wagon owners out there I would sure like to speak with you.

That's sounds like a great project restoring the woody. Take lots of pictures to document your work; and be sure to post the pictures as we love pictures.

I had bought a 50 or 51 Chevy woody back in 2001.....until I found out it was grossly mis-represented in the ebay ad. Never took possession of said vehicle.
