So I just picked up a mint 96 RMW and being the first vehicle I've ever owned with a nice interior, I'd like to keep that way. The problem is that the RMW will usually be transporting myself and my three pit bulls. I don't think a dog barrier was ever a factory accessory, so I'm looking online at models that look like this (sorry, I'm new and can't post links):

Does anyone here have a recommendation for one that works well in the wagon?

Thanks!

That's exactly the same barrier I have on my 96 Roady wagon. Works like a charm. It works best if you leave the rear seat in the upright position. I tried using it a few times with the seat folded down to give my dog's more room, but the legs on the device weren't long enough, and after some improvising, it sort of worked. It works much better used as you show in the picture.

Why not car-top them?

LOL... Wasn't that referencing to something about Mitt Romney and putting dogs on top of a caprice wagon for a trip or something?

Hmmm, the only thing my sheltie does is leave hair all over, her favorite car to ride in is the wagon.

I really don't see what the big deal is with a car top though, properly setup its gotta be just like the ones in a truck bed.

the issue was after getting sick in his carrier Mitt pulled over, hosed off the dog and roof, and put the sick dog back up. Twelve hours is unreasonable.

if you find a 9C1 in a yard with the old partition, you could use that. I'd pick one up if I could find one.

I have that first one pictured here also, works great for my boston's... As long as your pits don't go too crazy, should be alright:) I also used some classy black duct tape on the joints to keep them from being "adjusted" by their paws Wink
