2017 Wagon Fest Date?

We have another 5-weekend July this year, so I want to make sure...

I assume we are still sticking to the 4th full weekend? That would put Wagonfest on Saturday, July 22?

Just planning ahead...

I am awaiting a reply from Seneca State park on the availability of the lakeside tent for Wagonfest  2017 on  the date of:

Saturday July 22 ,2017

The Nationals are being held in the midwest the following weekend, and i do not want a conflict for those (including myself) that may want to  possibly attend both events.  

UPDATE: Availability has been confirmed. we are on for Saturday July 22,2017

The tent rental for the past two years has actually  been $160.00, not the $100.00 listed on the website for the park, as it is actually a larger tent than listed. The "small tent" is over by the marina area  and does not have the parking space available that we enjoy lakeside.

Local guy is standing by and ready to help with planning activities, another run at Watkins Glen, dinner out on the town, a cruise, what-have-you.

If we were to head for Watkins Glen for a Friday evening run, the day before the Saturday Wagonfest, how many of you would be likely to come along? If we get 4 cars besides mine, I'll start a new thread and get the details. I believe that is we get 15 cars, we can own the track and it will be just wagons on the course.

If I can get my wagon ready in time I'm in. I've got a leaker and I saw someone say that was a no-no at the Glen.

I think unless the oil is pouring out it won't be an issue. They never looked that closely at the cars when we were there last year.

Should we try for the Friday run at Watkins Glen again?  Who's in?  PM me and I'll edit this post and add your name to the list below.  For now, this is just to gauge interest and see how big a pod we might assemble on the track.  Cost is $25 per car.

Watkins Glen website says 2017 availability "coming soon".  I'll call them.  For now, we can assume it is available.
