Had a good photo op come up this past fall, thought i would share the pictures with you. The CAF's B29 FIFI was staying at our local airport LZU for about a week as we have a very active EAA group there so i hustled the wagon over for a photo op. Even before the Confederate Air Force became politically correct, they kept this magnificent machine flying. The per-flight-hour costs of this artifact are staggering. See it in the air if at all possible before the costs become unsustainable.

It passed through Tampa a few times. They were selling rides for about $200 if I remember correctly.

I barely missed (by like 15 minutes) buying a ride in a B17. I won't make that mistake again. Amazing engineering behind these planes, and yes the flight hour costs are staggering.
