Wanted: 1990 Olds 307 Valve Cover

I'm looking for a passenger side valve cover for a 1990 Olds Custom Cruiser 307 V8.  The one on the car is warped and leaking due to years of over-torquing.

Hammer and a flat surface (big vise) will have that cover straight as an arrow. Metal wants to go back to where it was.

The shop tried that and it is still leaking.

My son thought his valve cover was bad for same reason, and he tried it twice.
Then i told him your not doing it right, your rushing, so i did it and it was fine, hasn't leaked since.

They need to take there time, or try another shop.unless of course valve cover is split or something.

If the metal is flat (easy to do), and there is a good new gasket... they are over torquing (also easy to do). This is one of those "do it yourself, do it right" jobs.

They were hesitant to use my cork gaskets but since their rubber one didn't work they did. Guess what? Not leaking finally!

How do I pull this wanted thread? I actually got one but like I said didn't need it. Oh well, now I have a spare.

You don't. People will just ignore it and eventually it will disappear as other threads are made.
