What am I looking at here?

This pic shows the front passenger side frame.  The upper control arm is visible at the far left.

Along the frame, two brake-lines run from the left side of the pic (one of mine terminates in a cut hose) and toward the right, they disappear under the battery tray.

What on earth are these things?

Vapor recovery lines?

Yes I would agree it is the vapor line and runs back to the fuel tank.

The vapor canister is behind that plastic piece visible on the right side of picture, so YES those are the evap canister lines.
