1996 RMW For Sale

Selling my present DD. 96 RMW with just under 186000 on the clock. Own it for over four years now. Previous owners drove it into the ground. Took me approx.
four months to get it road worthy. New break lines front/rear and pads/shoes. New rad, Opti spark, wires and plugs, water pump, a/c clutch, radio w/ CD player.
Present WV safety inspection, good to June 2024. Engine good, no leaks but!!!! Trany is a tad iffy has been since the day I took it over, so far has not let me down.
Tany at times seems like it's looking for another gear especially between D and 3rd. As I said, like this when I got it. I have put over 8000 miles on it, all the work was
done on it in this time frame. Roof leaks have not a clue as to where? came with the purchase of the vehicle. I kid you not, it has a ton of rust on it but! all the doors are
rust free solid. As I said earlier, it's still my DD. I am replacing it with a 94 RMW which is in much better condition all around. Actually, it's a very nice vehicle. Plan to have
it on the road come the end of the month. Asking $3600 for it, one has to start somewhere. Also, entertaining the thought of parting it out.
The vehicle is located in the eastern panhandle of WV.

Thankx Mr. 94Woody. The old girl had a tough past life. She appears to have spent a goodly amount of
time on winter salted roads. Still! She has a lot of very good parts on her. I'm thinking, parting her out will be by best bet. Cheers

if the belly rust is really bad and you have the time patience and room to do a part out that might be the way to go - plus you never know when your 94 might need something off the 96 since they share most of the same parts - bonus if the interior/exteriors are same colors on both cars

Thankx for the reply Mr. Serendipity. The right side inter fender is totally gone.... The pax side is in good condition.... The doors are all good, zero rust. The interior is the same colour in both vehicles, have already swapped some parts. will be driving the 96 RMW to the first of December at which time the insurance needs to be renewed which I will not be doing. At this time, parting out is the way I am leaning, I have the room. So, if anyone out there needs something? just let me know.

hey there! i actually just came into possession of a 91 RMW, and am in the process of fixing it up. im looking for the hinge that connects the second row seat to the accompanying flap, and the hinge that connects the third row seat to the floor cover in the trunk. (diagram below, item #7).



also, what color is the interior? there are a few other interior components i would be interested in if they match.

i really appreciate it!

@whitebird -- do you have interior photos of your car? If it has the Limited package, then I know someone who's looking for Z27 seats -- possibly fronts, certainly rears. See here:

The hinge mechanism for the 91-93 is not compatible with the 94-96 seat. Interior colors are also different between the different year models. The exception is 93 that has two reds, and two tans. One red matches the 91-92, and one matches the 94-96. One of the tans ( camel) matches the 91-92, and the other is a one year color for 93.
The footwell cover hinge is a piano hinge that is attached with pop-rivets. The 91-93 footwell cover is metal, and the 94-96 cover is plastic. I believe they both use the same hinge, but the rivet spacing may be different.
