| Two tone variation. Black roof and hood, but the transition from black to charcoal is either flames or scallops. Pinstriped in kawasaki green or creamsicle orange. Black steelies with moons. One of the cars I helped paint last year... You're welcome.

| Well craigslist has been working, so I stopped in and drove it today. Despite how good it looks and runs, it still drives like a 20 year old Cavalier. Good - turns out there's only 79k miles on it. This guy has only driven it 11k miles in 8 years. He only used it to go garage sale-ing in during the summer. Bad - no tilt or cruise, headliner sags, and the ac needs a compressor. I can swap in tilt, MAYBE cruise, I can swap in a compressor myself, and I'm actually kinda excited about the headliner needing replaced so I can have a little fun with replacement material selection - like rich corinthian pleather, or a zebra print, or flame the roof, then do the headliner in the exact same pattern, etc. Oh, and we locked in a price too, so I hope to get it home by the weekend. | |

| Is that what that buzz was I heard earlier? The sound of a mighty 2.2 4cyl Cavvy?
Good deal! I think we all expect to see pics as the "updates" progress.

| Well I've been driving it everyday for the past 8 days and (knock wood) so far, so good. I've only seen one other one on the road so far, which is kind of cool too. I've gotten quite a few compliments from friends and family about how surprisingly clean it is, but the funniest comment so far wasn't about that at all. I had some time to kill during soccer practice, so I brought some Maguire's cleaner to hit the roof with it. Another parent pulled up, got out, and said, Holy "POOP!" as she was laughing. So I go, "What's the matter?" She goes, "Either I never realized you were that damn big or I've forgotten how small those cars are, but either way, I don't know the last time I've seen a man actually dwarf his own car. You're waxing the roof like most people wax their hood and it just looks funny as hell." I'm not sure I agree with her observation, but I thought it was kinda funny anyway. I also just took it on a little road trip to the other side of the state this morning, which was about 2 and a half hours each eay. The almost 5 hours of driving cost me 8 gallons and scored me just a little over 30mpg which is pretty sweet in comparison to our burb. So there, John | |

| Ok, in the spirit of the weekend ramblings - here's how it looks with z24 stuff: Cept I will NOT be lowering mine and I want the bumpers and side skirts all the same color as the body, with flames, cool wheels, and SS badging. I'm not mad at what I have, but holy crap would this thing be sweet if it had the V6/5speed combo. Ah well. I'll keep it how it is, and when I get in the mood to suck gas and haul ass, I'll go romp on my 65.

| With a V-6 and a 5 speed you wont be getting 30 mpg and you would be getting pulled over and of course the tickets to go along with getting pulled over entails. Its a sleeper like it sits so dont make it look too sporty John. Take Care Jim Gordon |

| I SO almost grabbed you the hood off that white Cavalier Z24 in Dallas this weekend. It was $40 at Pick-N-Pull. I just had no idea how I'd get it to you, and was also afraid what Misty would have said if I showed up at the in-laws with a hood strapped to the roof rack.
Lots of those out there in the yards. You NEED one!
