Subject: Removing painted on SS Tue Apr 12, 2011 11:00 pm
At some point an SS was painted on my wagon about where it is on an impala on both sides and on the tailgate. They were done in 2 colors to match the pin stripes.
Is there a good DIY way to remove them? I tried easyoff with a q-tip and one color comes off with some work but the other doesn't seem to want to come off. I would like them gone but not enough to take it to a shop yet.

Check if you a have an Auto paint wholesaler or refinishing supplier in town. More than likely if you let them look at it, they could advise you, and have the products right there for you.
Are you sure it's painted and not vinyl?
