The countdown has started....

My 96 Roady is going to hit 100,000 in just 150 miles. Had 71K a little over a year ago. I'm ashamed of how hard I've used it since I bought it.......

If I get my Cutlass running this fall I'm going to be using it A LOT more and that'll keep the miles on the Roady down...I hope.

It is kind of funny, we spend so much time trying to keep miles low and then all the sudden high miles become something to be proud of. Just be happy that your car has plenty of life left!

Jon I meant to ask you if your wagon seems down on power compared to when you first got
it?With the miles you are putting on your wagon I am curious how the acceleration is now
compared to a year ago?My Lt-1 has about 193,000 real miles even though it only shows
123,000 miles and it seems to run pretty good although I have yet to really stomp down on it
yet.It is definitely quieter and smoother than my OCC when accelerating into traffic and is much
quieter at idle in drive too.

Awwwww.... I remember when my OCC hit 100,000. Right at the end of the Garden State Pky. at the I-87 exit. Kinda sad 'cause it's no longer "new", but I know there'll be many more miles and good times to come. Both my van and the OCC hit 100k within two weeks of each other oddly enough.

I remember when my RMW hit 100k, a bitter sweet moment. Its cool to see the numbers roll over, but at the same time it doesn't seem like a low milage car anymore.
I do have to look forward to my 1A2 rolling over to 200k in a few hundred miles. Now its a quest to see how far I can push it! As long as the odometer doesn't pull its usual "898,808" flickering and cheat me out of seeing it roll over, all will be good.

So I should take a long lunch tomorrow, run out to the country east of town, get her up to about 100, and take pic of the speedo as she rolls over 100K?? Pass the milestone with a bang?

I hope it's not like my 93 S-10....when it went to roll over the 1 was stuck and the odometer broke, and from then on it just ticked now and then.

I'm going to order a Z28 cluster set at zero to feel better about the car.

Actually we're planning to hit the lake after work tomorrow so the car will most likely roll over 100K with a boat on the hook behind it. That's kinda special too.

I want mine all black instead of with the wood accents. I HATE not having full gauges and a tach. I planned to do this mod ages ago but other stuff keeps coming up. Will do it soon for sure.

I spoke to the guy that does the mod, and he's updated these to green backlighting, so it matches the rest of the dash at night (Camaro's were backlit white) and he's added a cruise light, which is nice. I can live without the gate ajar and low fuel, it's worth it for a tach and actual gauges. I like the wood but mine is going to be all black.

I'm doing this SOON!

I really want to do this and add a non-airbag Gran Sport Regal leather steering wheel. I can live with the column shifter because I love my seats, but I think the stock steering wheel is ugly and MAN I want full gauges.

Nick's got it right. Drive that baby and don't worry about mileage. My beast has got 216,xxx on it and she runs great. Mind you is has little things gone bad but still a good runner.

The funny part is I'm sitting here at home laughing my ass off realizing "Holy Crap I agree with Nick"

Both gas pedals and supermodels are meant to be hammered to the floor.

Only difference is our wagons tend to age more gracefully and are a whole lot less frustrating.
Oh and cheaper to feed and cloth!

I just missed 111,111.1 on Grimace. Saw it around 102.x on my way to roller derby last weekend (for real no lie), came out, distracted looked down and it was 116.x DOH! Gonna be awhile before all 2s, lol. FUnny part is I'm positive the odo was rolled back in that car so it might be 211 on it.

Still have not hit the number! It looked like it might storm so we cancelled the lake plans.....and it of course didn't rain a drop...oh well. I get to look at the 99 a little longer.

When I get my new Z28 cluster my car will have just 70K again. Hey I'm back where I started! Ha!

The only odd thing is I'll lose the PRNDL. I'm pretty sure I can shift by feel..... ; )

The guy who makes them for us can give you a functional PRNDL again.

Well I'm buying one already made so I guess I'll take what I'm getting.

I'm pretty sure I can find drive and reverse, and I'll be all set in the future if I ever decide to do something wacky like the floor shift conversion.

Blower motor is on the fritz today. Worked this morning but started failing this afternoon.

100,000 miles.....dammit. Posted about it in the Electrical section. Any advice is welcome. It's hotter than the sun here but if I need to hit Wrench-A-Part tomorrow I will.
