Need Gas Tank!

I had my current tank repaired, pressure tested and everything, it was golden, but now its leaking again, so I'm just going to have to get a new one. Only one problem though, I can't find one anywhere, can someone help me out?

Do you have any local junkyards to get one from?

There are some around me, but I would prefer a new one because you never know what you're gonna get from a junkyard, you know?

It's a plastic tank. I don't think much can go wrong with them.

Around this area they put a hole in the tanks to drain them before they put in the yard. EPA regs, I would guess.

ALL tanks are Swiss cheesed here also in the yards. NO EXCEPTIONS!

That sucks. Here they pump them out and use the fuel in their yard trucks.
Also, BBB, I thought the wagons had plastic tanks?

They do.

They puncture the tanks here too. I have tried to get the manager of the yard to work with me, but to no avail.

Your best bet is to find someone who is parting out a wagon. They are somewhat difficult to ship, because no one wants to handle the tank that has had gas in it.

There are no new ones.

The fact that gas thieves puncture tanks is a good reason to make a lowrider. If they can not get under the car, they can not puncture the tank.

I have one sitting next to my garage in Rochester NY. off Rt 104. Been keeping it for a future spare.
