Bambi strikes again.

So on my way home from a concert tonight I hit a dear.  The good news is I was not driving the wagon.  The REALLY BAD news is I was driving the Impala SS.

Got the hood, grille & support passenger headlight, marker, little ding in the fender, but missed the bumper and internals.  Big dear, well it looked big. Went back and it was a yearling buck so it could have been a lot worse.  Photo bucket is down, so pictures forth coming.

Glad you were not hurt,well not counting your SS!

Need hood (again) grille, lights, etc.

Oh man Tim what a bummer. Glad your OK. That as was cherry when I saw it.but on lighter note how was the concert who did you see?

Tim, buy 2 hoods, one for the repair and the other as a spare.

No kidding. Maybe one stocker to put away and a cowl hood to give the look I have always wanted.

Ironically it's probably easier to find Impala front end parts than RMW parts. Better that it happened on this car.

since you NEED a hood, go for an aftermarket one like SLP or Suncoast.

I may do a 2" cowl hood.  It would be cool to put a fuel pressure gauge and tach in the cowl (old school).  I do still want to get a good stock hood though, even if I just moth-ball it.

Went by the body shop today. It looks like about $2,200 in damage. I might have some of the parts, but need couple items. I think I found a hood in Florida. I really need a clean non-faded/yellow'd passenger headlight.

That sucks, dude. Is insurance going to cover it?

I may have a headlight, but won't see it for a while yet. If you still don't have one when I find it, it's yours!

Do you need a core support or going to fix yours?

pretty good deal,. two new headlights is almost mandatory after a front end fix and repaint,.

Man those pics turn my stomach. Really sorry to see this!
