| I am well aware of the fact that I could just get a single high amp alternator, but I also like the idea of the redundancy of having 2 alternators. If one takes a dump, there is still another to keep going. I would like the high amperage to make quick work as possible of maintaining and recharging an Odyssey PC2250 battery after extended engine-off periods. The ability to run a welder will also come in handy.
Goal: High amps, and redundancy in the charging system.

| Just keep an extra alternator in the road box. Easy to change, no need to run one all the time. | |

Goal: High amps, and redundancy in the charging system. it'll be interesting to see this accomplished,.

| I run a 140 amp alternator. More than enough juice at all times. Are you going to get rid of the A/C? Maybe you'd have room for a second one in it's place. Running a second battery is easier than a second alternator.

| Seriously, though, there are lots of examples out there of dual alternators. Just google "dual alternator Caprice". If using a 140amp CS144, I don't see the need, but, I'll never argue with someone over what they want on their car. Here is one instal that would work:

| Consult a car audio forum, would be my suggestion. Those guys know their stuff when it comes to multiple alternator/battery setups. |

When I first read that, I thought it said, "I know that's not what you asked for, but if you decide to stay single you'll be quite satisfied." Haha.

| Some days I would be far happier if I was single.
Ooops. Was that my out-loud voice again?

| over the course of a 20 yr relationship,. it has been proven many times that simply paying twice a week for sex, would be a much cheaper proposition than being in a relationship and paying for all the extra's that go into forging a partnership , and would leave a lot more money for important things like cars, would also cut out the roulette wheel of raising children,. | |

| Not a problem... we raised our kids on a Black Jack table instead.... and to keep it on topic, it had dual alternators... well, actually one crossdresser. ( and it wasn't me) | |
