Is there a gasket I am missing on my car? I don't remember there being a gasket between the egr tube and the exhaust manifold. I don't see one when looking for parts. I have a pronounced tick on the passenger side. Since all other gaskets are replaced and bolts tight, id assume this is what I'm missing

Assume away,..

a loose/leaking egr pipe makes a constant exhaust roar,.

A "tick" exhaust sound comes from one cylinder,. most times a broken bolt,.

No broken bolts. They are all brand new and I have checked torque on them. What I am asking is if there is supposed be a gasket between the exhaust manifold and the egr tube. I don't see any online

I don't remember ever putting one there,. if its' leaking, i,d think the pipe must be bent a little,.so the flanges are not lining up?

I would try loosening both ends then tightening manifold side first,..

If the flange itself is tweaked,. you might get lucky with some high temp silicone,.??

That's how i installed it. Manifold side first then found the correct intake side gasket and installed.

There was a TSB out for the passenger manifolds cracking on 9C1s, these use the same manifolds and can have the same issue.
