| Thats not true... I love it.. But......... WHY cant i have defroster heat, and floor heat at the same time? When the conditions are like this, i have to choose between freezing to death, or kill myself cuz the windscreen is all clogged up.. Or in the worst case ever, drive the VW. I am considering to let the roadie go and buy me a boxie instead.. | |

| Why not have the best of both worlds, buy a boxy for winter and use the roadie for summer Pete | |

| One way to get both the foot heat, and defrost is to install a manual override for the vacuum actuator for the defrost valve, to limit the amount of air to the defrost vent by only allowing partial opening of the defrost valve.
An alternative is to put stop on the defrost actuating arm that would only allow for partial opening of the defrost valve. The vacuum actuator is on the far left front (passenger compartment side) of the air box.

| On my '94 BRMW, the De-Fog button on the climate control blends the air. Blows out the floor vent, and windshield vent. | |

According to the FSM, it should blow out both, but the floor vent gets a lot less air because it is not the last vent on the path.

| Agreed within above. Mine does both, what kind of roadie you got? No complaints here. Defrosts windows and keeps toes warm | |

| Mine is a -92.. The floorducts IS open.. Not much, but they are open. Might just be a flowproblem. I will change the blowermotor, and delete the mechanical fan on the engine, it seems to cool the engine really much, even when everything is -32 deg Celsius. | |

You could put electric fans on the car. They are easy to install. If you use a variable temp sensor to turn the primary fan on and off, and have the secondary one hooked to the AC (with a diode that would also turn it on when the temp sensor turns the primary on even without the AC turned on), they would be automatic, and you could forget about them. The fans and mounts from a 93 Fleetwood bolt up to the 92 RMW perfectly. I used a JEGS 52125 variable temp sensor, and set it to have the fan turn off just above the point where the thermostat opens. The temp that it comes on at is 15 degrees higher than the turnoff temp. All you have to do is get it to running temp, and adjust the knob on the control box until the fan shuts off.
