If the car has been in NJ its entire life and not in the Rust Belt, I'd say you are asking too little. At 108,000 miles, it's still a young car. Invest a few hours in cleaning and detail, and it will sell faster and likely for more money.

Thanks. Despite living it's whole life (that I'm aware of) in the rust belt, it's solid. It was a mess when I bought it. It needed a serious cleaning. I had to polish the paint but it came up nice. It's a nice clean car and mechanically, everything works tip top. Runs and drives like new.

Ebay it.... Lots of pictures, of all areas of the car. Black with wood sure seems to be the rarest color combo of all. Where was it from originally? Heavy rust, and just a little rot on the underside will kill the value. There is a member from the left coast looking for a black with wood RMW, have you contacted, or been contacted him?

Hmmm. Maybe I'm losing my mind.... I thought I just read a post about a West Coast guy lookin' for a black woody. No thread found, Sorry.

Hmm. Thanks. Ebay is a thought but they get a cut $$?

Agreed that pics of underside are important. As soon as people see a car they think comes from the salt belt, they get shy to pull the trigger on the deal.

Total eBay fees run about 10% of the final sale price. Like Craigslist, you'll possibly meet some people you've always tried to avoid. But, the car will be viewed by a much larger audience.

I remember seeing that also, Mike.

Low mileage, Limited, clean and shinny; looks good to me.  NJ is on the outskirts of the Rust Belt, but I would have to give the underneath a good look.

Your price of $3400 is fair. On a good day you may get it, but probably you may have to settle for something less.

good luck

Tom

I love it! Should sell quickly at that price...IMO. Would love to justify its purchase...but I fear the wrath of my Ginger wife.

It's also on p.1 of the "cars for sale" subsection.

Well we made it home driving straight through! I landed in Newark Saturday at 1 and was on the road pointed south by 4. I arrived Sunday before 6. Betty behaved well with only the dash lights going out. Bam-a-lam!
