| Hello. I am just a weird teenage boy that likes oldies music, station wagons, and black-and-white TV shows I plan to have a 1994 or 1996 Buick Roadmaster Estate Wagon as my first car. Feels great to be here! | |

| I know I should create a topic for this, but I just need a yes or no answer, so I'll just do it here. I am already looking at upgrade parts for when I get my new (to me) RMW, and one thing I'm doing is speakers. I already picked out the rear speakers for the trunk area, but I am confused as to what size speaker goes in the front doors. Some sites list it as a 6.25 inch speaker, and other sites say 4x6. I have asked in Buick Forum and have gotten different answers too. Basically, what is the biggest speaker I can fit in the door without a bracket or modifying something? Thank you! | |

| So the answer is, depends. If you have a concert sound system then it.s 6.25", if you don't it's 4x6. The nice thing though is that you can swap out the speaker pods if you can find one of the other style in a junk yard. I have 4x6 in the car and the pods to upgrade to 6.25 that I need to put in. I would say pull your door panel to make sure, but you want to do that as little as possible as at this point the panels have become quite brittle and there are really no replacements. So you want to pull your door panels as few times as possible. | |

Thank you so much for clearing this up!

| No problem, I don't know a lot about most of the b-body, but I'm pretty familiar with the insides of the doors since I swapped both front and rear doors on the drivers side from a RMW. I'm also good with the digital dash (only in the Caprices if I'm not mistaken) and doing a fuel pump replacement. Oh and I've had the dash off more times than I can count. | |

| Some other upgrades I plan to do to my future wagon include retrofitting HID xenon headlights as well as dual air horns and subwoofers. | |

| Keep in mind to do HID right you need projector housings. Roady sedeans also have a 4 note horn that is really easy to swap the 2 extra horns into our wagons, that might be something you want to consider instead of air horns, just food for thought. | |

I'm going with xenon bulbs that fit right in the already existing headlight socket

Haven't found 6.25s anywhere. Sure it isn't 6.5?

| So to clarify, its 6.25 inch, not 6.5? Also, are there two horns under the hood or just one horn? Also, the speakers I will be getting are supposedly 250w for each speaker. Do I need to get an inline amp for each speaker or can the headunit power them? I will be using a JVC Arsenal with JVC Drvn speakers when I get the car... | |

| I believe what came in the car is 6.25 but that most 6.5 will fit. Yes you can drive those speakers with a head unit, will they sound better with an external amp? Yes, but it will sound way better than the factory system just with speakers and a new head unit. Keep in mind it is a car and not a concert hall. You can spend a fortune on car audio, but you start to reach a point of diminishing returns pretty quickly. | |

| Welcome aboard. There are a few other people in their early 20s or late teens that love these cars. My son is one of them (although I thrust him into one kicking a screaming at first) | |

| One more thing and then I'll stop. Does the 95-96 RMW have a 12 volt outlet in the trunk/rear facing seat area or is the only outlet the cig lighter in the dash? | |
