| Note that the date of Wagonfest 2016 is undergoing a voting poll as of 01/08/2016 till 01/23/2016 to determine whether it will the fourth Saturday of the month July 23, or the traditional last Saturday of the month July 30, 2016It is under consideration to coincide with other local events in and around Geneva NY I will once again make a block reservation at the Microtel in Waterloo for us in the near future once the date is settled Please add your vote, IF YOU ARE ACTUALLY GOING TO WAGONFEST 2016. Heres the link to the vote: https://gmlongroof.4umer.com/t12306-poll-vote-for-wogonfest-date-changeAnything else you read that was previously posted before 01//08/2016 in this thread concerning dates may not be accurate until the vote is finalized. Anything posted about sheep is probably true. Being that it is in wine country, consideration is being taken for a wine tasting tour on Friday night. It islikely the the Geneva car show will coincide on july 23, not july 30 Your thoughts are welcome. Edited 01/24/2016 The poll vote is now closed.
By the vote of our members, the date of Wagonfest 2016 has been moved.
Wagonfest 2016 will be held on July 23, 2016

| You'd definitely be the front runner for the large cash prize. It would more than pay for gas, lodging and beer.

| I know it's kinda unrelated, but in my science class we had to make cardboard cars with weights to demonstrate Newton's laws of gravity and acceleration. Me and my partner were allowed to decorate our car, each of us has 1/2 of the car. She didn't decorate her half but I made mine look like a Roadmaster Wagon, complete with scribbled-on woodgrain, a 5.7L LT1 emblem, a California plate that read "OUTATIME" and a tiny Wagonfest bumper sticker that I penciled on. When my science teacher saw the car he said he has a friend of his who has gone to Wagonfest before. | |

Thanks but you don't have to do that. 99% chance I'm coming to Wagonfest 2016 with my aunt and my car-nerd friend and I'll get a sticker when I officially come to the event. The evening cruise will be awkward though because we have a blue Honda CR-V...

You would not be disappointed, that I know. It's not like a gigantic car show, but a small group of friends and wagons. We have had guys come from all over the US and Canada. I remember one forum member who drove @5000 miles, he was from East Overshoe Canada. I think in the Northwest Territories. There are plenty of things to do also. Car shows Friday night and Sunday, cruise on Saturday, Watkins Glen on Friday night. Probably the heart of the weekend is Saturday at a beautiful NY State Park on one of the Finger Lakes; we we spend the day tell stories and have fun. Oh and almost forgot about the late night legendary gatherings at the Microsoft parking lot. Look at the old pictures and postings about previous years. See you in July, always the last weekend in July. (edited by Dave, per poll voting, it is one week prior July 23,2016) Tom

http://genevany.com/bid/cruisin-night/Given the choice, I'd really rather have WF moved to coincide with that weekend. It is one of the things we look forward to attending and helps justify the trip every year. Seems hard to believe anyone's schedule would be unduly disrupted by the change, given it is still over 7 months away. - J

| I for one enjoy the Friday night Geneva car show. There is a lot to see and do. I think moving a week early to follow the Friday night geneva car show would not be a bad idea. Hotel rooms are still available and I highly doubt moving the tent rental a week would be an issue.

| I as well would vote for moving the date inline with the Geneva show. I think it helps with the whole weekend experience. In addition, we all seem to look for things to do on Friday night. Like JaySS has also found out that the Seneca Falls show is the same weekend. Makes for another event before the long trip home.

| The key is if we can move the tent reservation, as that is already locked in and paid for. I will call on Monday 01/11/16 to see if it can be moved to the previous weekend to coincide with the Geneva Auto show.
If the time slot has already been reserved by others, then it's obvious that it stays when where is.
Please note I am putting up a pole for the purpose of Wagonfest date change please vote and encourage others to do so.
