Well spotted this 92 at the auction lot a few weeks ago. Was notified it was going up for bid yesterday. So showed up, in the non-running section of course. Actually almost missed out because I was focused on the engine starting, which it didn't. But bid on it and won. Another guy comes over to me after I won and says, "hey you outbid the junkyard owner over there" So looks like I did my part to save another b-body from the junkman. Score one for the car guys.
It gets better tho. It's a towpack LO5 car, super clean underneath. Like nicer than the Olds, but has 188k miles. I'm thinking this can't be a northern car. I go thru all the paperwork and find a Florida insurance card from 07. SCORE. Plus it's got new tires, new starter, all ignition is new, water pump, and a repair bill for new intake gaskets two years ago. The last owner bought it back in April and put 1500 miles on it before donating it to benefit their favorite public radio station when the fuel pump died. Got one on order now. Honestly I bought this one for the hitch but I think this one might be a keeper.
I've told a few of you about my C10, well here it is doing it's job.

I hope you are not seeking help with your addiction from this bunch. You're in a forum full of enablers.

Nice score, I couldn't help but notice that it doesn't appear to have a rear defrost.

It's still on the trailer....haha can't open the doors because of the fenders, I've been climbing into it thru the rear hatch which is when I noticed the nice clean rear window. It's gray and in ok shape. Some reconditioning needed.

Mostly found on Southern cars, and yes quite rare up here in the rustbelt

The cure for opium addiction was heroin. Cocaine was to cure heroin. So what is the cure for Oldsmobile Custom Cruisers? Roadmaster or Caprice Wagons?

There is no sure. Only rehabilitation. And nobody wants that. Because then what do you do? Sell it all and buy something sensible? I don't think so. Besides I already got my fill of something sensible, I drove a Honda for 10 years.

Moby the great white whale as my gf Jessie calls it, was unloaded last night from my trailer. Took longer than expected due to getting stuck multiple times in the driveway, I have my eyes on a big block 4WD Suburban as my next tow rig. But anyways more pics.
Interior is a bit worse for the wear and needs reconditioning. Was going to replace the rear carpet but it seems to be glued to the floor panels? Was thinking it would just slide off but not so. Headliner needs to be re-done too, it's falling down. Thinking of throwing some of my upgrade parts at it, have a 9C1 tach dash and all 4 door lights in gray, plus I can get an SS grill from GM pretty cheap. We'll see on the toys my focus is getting it running, fuel pump is here

It's alive!
$40 invested to get it running. A "NOS" Ac Delco fuel pump kit I bought on ebay from a guy that bought out a parts store inventory, snagged that for 30. Then the strainer for ten. not too bad. haha.

Well sold Moby on to a good home yesterday. Someone stopped and offered cash money for the car, and since I didn't need a 5th project I accepted. The guy lives down the road from me so likely I will see it again.
