| My 6 year old son is somewhat autistic and I never know what he's going to come up with. Last weekend we were in a drugstore parking lot waiting for my wife to come out and a '70 442 pulled in next to us. He looked over and said "Wow - that car was born to race". I thought to myself at least he's getting something from me. Anyway, on to the real story. Yesteday I took him to Chapel Hill for a dr. appointment. On the way back, out of the blue, he said " When I was little I wanted you and Mama to get different cars". I asked him what he meant and he said "Anything but old station wagons". I was devasted! When I asked what was wrong with our cars he told me they were "lame". I was doing my best to convince him how cool our cars are when a viper passed us. Guess what? that's right - at that point I gave up. What a day. Suggestions on convincing an autistic 6 year old how great a B-body is are now welcome Jon Btw he also asked me when my car was going to be old enough to crash...Aaaarrrggghh! | |

| Let's see a pic of your car. Maybe yours IS lame. Got wheels? Got gears? Got exhaust? Got ANYTHING cool going on? If he's right and it really IS lame, ask him what he'd do to make it less lame. I'm not saying to make your car decisions a democracy, but it'd help you get inside his head on where he's at with these wagons. Also - haha - you're 47 with a 6 year old? Cool. If THAT doesn't keep you young, nothin will. | |

HAHA!! Good one. Better yet show him any camry or corolla. I mean, can cars GET any more boring? Or the pig snout on the tundra. Unfortunately not everyone will 'get' our cars or wagons in general for that matter. Perhaps when he's old enough to appreciate how the LT1 can really slam you into your seat.

| Bewber - Maybe he meant his Mama's car is lame lol (LDM with WIRE hubcaps!) Mine is a transformation in progress. i had flowmasters on the black wagon but he was always worried that I was speeding. I Probably was.
Nick - You've got me beat! It is tough to keep up with them, isn't it.
Phastlt1 - The Hyundai angle might not work. My dad showed up for a visit last weekend driving a 2011 Sonata. Of course Jordan thought it was "cool"
Mike - I like your idea. Nothing more boring than a Corolla. It just dawned on me that he does like vettes. I'll have to try the corvette engine angle for a while.

| mine all like the old gold run of the mill woody roady with its muffler delete,.the blue wagon with its six speed, big brakes and ferrari like handling,. and the black wagon with its flames etc,. strap 'em in the third seat, and wind it out in the first 3 gears (1st 5 if you have deep gears and a 6 spd) the sound of the cold air intake howling at 5-6000 rpm along with the roar of the exhaust, hammer on the big binders (if you have them) flip it into a 60 mph 2wheel drift around a posted 25mph jug handle on ramp, with the rpm at 4-6000 rpm and the 285-40's crying for mercy,. then go rent a toyota yaris, do the same thing,.(*yawn*) case closed

| Hey Nick forget the kids I want a ride in your third seat!It sure sounds like a hoot and you could probably charge for gas. Think about it guys, how many of you have had the pleasure of riding in the third seat of our wagons while someone drives it like they stole it.What better way to hear the exhaust and feel the suspension at work.I would definitely love to see that ride taped and posted on utube. Take Care and Be Happy Flasheroo |

| I got a chuckle out of Flasheroo wanting a ride in Nick's third seat. Cool idea!
Sounds like a great idea to entertain all us "kids". even the ones that are 58 like me. Charge a few bucks to help defray vacation costs. Bewber could dress up like Fred Flinstone and collect the ticket money. I'd suspect good ol' New York would want to sell a Carnival operator's permit to you first.

| Yeah, I'm thinking I need a ride in Nick's car too. Maybe that should be an event in itself! While we're on the subject of wild rides, a couple years ago we went to charlotte motor speedway the day after thanksgiving for their annual souvenir blow out. You get stamps on cards according to how much $ you spend and then redeem them for laps on the track. I ended up with 8 laps. They have a "pace" car and you're not supposed to race or drive crazy but I found out real quick if you're in the back you can have a little fun. Coming off turn 4 and through the dogleg at 100+ mph is a blast in a rmw! That was when I wasn't laughing so hard I was crying at the lady in the camry using her turn signals on the track. I'm gonna try to go again this year. Anyone care to join me? A pack of b-bodys would be a sight.
Jon
BTW - Jordan slept through most of this in the back seat. Go figure!
