| I had to "carefully" remove my front door panels on my '96 Roady to get the door mirrors off for painting. I'd like to replace the door panel "Christmas Tree" clips before re-installing the panels.
When I did this the first time on this Roady, I re-used the stock clips, and they are looking pretty torn/worn now. When I did window rollers on my '92 Custom Cruiser, I bought Dorman-brand clips at Autozone. Those worked ok, but the plastic is a lot more brittle than what GM used, and they seem a lot more prone to breaking.
Anyone have any good suggestions? I'd like to do this right and have nice tight door panels when I put these back on.
Thanks in advance!
-Mike

| Mike, most any auto part store has those. I usually buy them at NAPA.

| Were what you folks found the Dorman-brand, which are brittle, or more like the factory type that tend to flex a bit before they snap? | |

| You might try to find "Auveco" brand. They are high quality but usually only found at body shop supply stores or on the internet. You'll probably have to buy them by the box. Be sure of your size if you order them, as Auveco has a huge selection. | |
