Best way to clean throttle body?

I'm curious what is the best way to clean the throttle body on LT1? Engine has 80,000 miles on it, but its sat around a lot and I see the TB is black inside.

Is it as simple as spraying cleaner into it, or will that damage sensors? My previous car had an Idle Air Control valve that got damaged if you sprayed cleaner into TB, so I figured I would ask before hurting anything.
