1 of the local pick and pulls has a 94 firebird with the lt1 which has aluminum heads and I was wondering how much better they are then the cast ones besides being aluminum and if they are worth pulling?

I can't speak for the differences, but I would pull the manifolds with it. I think the ports may be a different size.

Yeah I was reading about them on one of the forums last night they were saying that the iron ones are better I can get the heads for about $80 for both but they also said the cam from the firebird is better and I can get that for about $20

You have to tune for a cam, so instead of wasting resources on a Firebird cam specced for a higher-revving lighter car, you're better off to just get a custom cam for a few bucks more and get something the car can actually put to good use in the rev range you drive/it operates.

IMO YMMV etc.
