Notice that after the launch, the Yellow Corvette in the left lane is never in the picture again. Win goes to the right lane.

You can see it just falling away in his left side mirror...like...really falling away. LOL! Love it!

well the car went low 12's with the LT1,...
It;s now going 11.79, after ingesting about a gazillion dollars in nice ls7 stuff,.
I dunno,. mebbe a soopahcharger might have been more cost effective?
but definitely not as sexy,.,,,,,the car i mean,.,,,,, not the scrawny old englishman driving it,.

Was the Vette even trying? Loved all the weight saving measures,but kept the overhead console,lol...

Yes the console is a super secret inner aero deal !
The headliner has been out of the car and bundled up for years, I rarely look up and forget it is not there. It had a damp spot due to a window and rather than deal , I pulled the liner so it would not be damaged. Someday, I would like to repaint the car and glass out would be the time so it could be done correctly. So for now, the liner stays out.
The Corvette had traction issues and had a 2.4 60ft time so it was all over no matter how well he could run. What irked me was his lack of "tree etiquette" Just ran up and hit both beams right away, leaving me behind and the starter hitting the button almost the second I touched the staging beam. I was there for times, not competition and could have got settled and left late (don't care about reaction time) As soon as the tree lit , instinct (good or bad) had me leaving , while not quite prepared.
